Students of the Academy for Film and Television Potsdam-Babelsberg (www.hff-potsdam.de) will present on altogether six days about 150 films of students and amateur filmmakers from all over the world; accompanied by a mixed framework consisting of panel discussions, open forums and parties. Prominent jury members will give awards of a total value of over 30.000 euros to the best pieces of work. The festival will take place from April 30 to May 5, 2002, and for the first time in the Thalia Arthouse Cinemas in Potsdam-Babelsberg. For the upcoming festival young filmmakers (filmstudents and amatuers) can hand in their work until March 1, 2002. Awards will be given to the best motion picture, documentary, animated film, etc. Once more Wolfgang Joop is on of the price-donors with his Wunderkind Award 2002.
